2 Timothy 3:1-7
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.”
I am not one to “catch a panic” as my pastor would say. I am not a fan of conspiracy. I am however, fully convinced of the truth of these words. God is clearly at work in ways we can’t understand yet; and the enemy of our souls, Satan, wants to stop this work from being done. He wants to invade our homes; our most sacred of spaces, where we go for comfort, privacy, and rest to recharge and spend precious moments with our families. As women, wives, and mothers, we have a responsibility to draw as close to God as we possibly can, to soak up every facet of His Word, to pray fervent prayers over our homes and families, and stand guard and intercede on behalf of our children and husbands. As we draw close to Him, He will wrap loving arms around us and spread His protective covering over our homes and families. Of this I am fully convinced.
